Foodie Alert! – Things have just gotten a little easier for hungry travelers passing through Newark Liberty International, La Guardia and John F. Kennedy International Airports with a new dining app that lets you order food and have it delivered directly to your gate.
The new pilot program of At Your Gate food delivery service is now available at Terminals A and B at Newark Liberty, Terminal B at La Guardia and Terminal 5 at JFK and not only does it offer expansive new dining options, but it provides customers with real-time updates on the status of their orders and there’s no minimum charge with participating restaurants.
To date, At Your Gate has delivered over 5,000 orders and generated more than 15,000 app downloads across the three airports, allowing customers at Newark Liberty to have access to Famous Famiglia Pizzeria, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Manchu Wok, Sora Sushi Bar, Qdoba Mexican Eats, Dunkin’, Auntie Anne’s and Wendy’s.
While customers at La Guardia’s Terminal B have the choice of Irving Farm Coffee Roasters, Kingside Bar, 5 Borough’s Food Emporium, Osteria Fusco and La Chula Taqueria – and Terminal 7 at JFK offers deliveries from Burger Joint, Irving Farm Coffee Roasters and Apartment 7B Deli.
This new service is just one of many updated amenities now being offered to travelers the Port Authority continues to improve customer service at all of its facilities.
Port Authority Executive Director Rick Cotton concurs: “We are constantly exploring service innovators and new technologies in order to make traveling easier for our customers, partnering with innovative companies like At Your Gate helps us effectively meet passenger needs in an increasingly digital world.”
The user-friendly app is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and when New York and New Jersey airport travelers who download the app qualify for free delivery of their first purchase by entering the Promotion Code: AYGFREE with no minimum order requirement.
This is all part of the Port Authority’s commitment to provide its customers with an optimal travel experience, along with other initiatives that include unlimited free high-speed Wi-Fi, mobile friendly websites for easier access to screening and taxi wait-times, modernized restroom facilities and other real-time information apps.
Port Authority Chairman Kevin O’Toole said that the agency is taking significant and concrete steps to improve the services provided at all of its facilities for a better customer experience and notes: “This is a very big step in that direction.”
