Chapman Freeborn, the leading global air charter specialist and part of Avia Solutions Group, is pleased to announce that Aniko Mersek has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales for the Americas, effective immediately.

In her new role, Mersek will be responsible for the day-to-day sales functions and execution of Chapman Freeborn’s Passenger team for the Americas. She will also implement long-term, strategic growth plans for the region, such as onboarding and developing larger, more targeted accounts to support Chapman Freeborn’s forecasted growth and providing key assistance and mentorship to the company’s air chartering sales division.

“Aniko has been a real force in our company’s continued success since first joining Chapman Freeborn in 2008. I know the entire team joins me in congratulating her on her well-deserved promotion, and we look forward to all that she will accomplish in her new position as Senior Vice President of Sales for the Americas,” remarks David McCown, President of the Americas, Chapman Freeborn.

Having originally started with Chapman Freeborn from the Dubai office, Mersek brings a wealth of sales and business development experience to her new role. Following a six-year-long tenure as a senior member of the company’s Passenger Charter Broker division – working across a range of sectors including travel agencies, oil and gas companies, cruise lines, and more – Mersek’s in-depth knowledge and proven track record ideally place her to oversee the ongoing expansion of Chapman Freeborn’s Air Charter sales team in the American market, and further bolster their business in the region with her extensive network of contacts and cultivated strong relationships with key clients and suppliers. Prior to re-joining the company in 2018, Mersek served as a key manager at Global Marine Travel for four years, helping to develop their offshore & air charter division, as well as Marriott International before her first six-year long tenure at Chapman Freeborn from 2008 to 2014.

“Having had the great pleasure of working at Chapman Freeborn for more than a combined decade, it’s a privilege to be assuming this new role as Senior Vice President of Sales for their Americas division,” said Mersek. “2024 and beyond will undoubtedly prove a pivotal era of continued growth for the company’s air charter sector, and I couldn’t be more excited to help lead this charge through the development of innovative new sales strategies and taking our stakeholder and client base to new heights within the American market.”
