We SOAR Higher Together - PANYNJ

WE SOAR Reward & Recognition Luncheons were held at EWR, JFK and LGA to celebrate the amazing employees that work at our airports, ensuring our passengers and fellow employees are safe and cared for through simple and sometimes not so simple acts of kindness. It was truly inspirational to hear the stories that passengers and fellow employees took the time to share about how one selfless act really changed a bad situation around.

The winners were randomly selected from nominations. Winners received a $500 AmEx Gift Card.  (It truly does pay to be nice!)  Heartwarming to hear comments received from global visitors describing how nominees went above & beyond to assist, step up, offer comfort and come to the aid of others  all in a day’s work.

Visit www.wesoarhigher.com to nominate someone that you witness or benefited from their exceptional service and read the stories of those already nominated on the WE SOAR Wall of Fame.

I just want to express views with regards to agent Angela Nerbel. She works at LaGuardia Airport in the lobby and has been observed by myself as an individual who shows excellent customer service to civilians and especially to passengers coming through LaGuardia. She gives clear detailed information with regards to ground transportation as well as information getting around the airport. She does not wait for the passengers to ask questions she is proactive in making loud and clear announcements upon the passengers arrival. I can attest that Angela Nerbel is an outstanding employee.

One of your agents named A. Lauriston company ERMC at LGA in Terminal B was fantastic. I am a manager at American Airlines and I was going down to get a cup of coffee and this man ran down the escalators ahead of me. When I saw he stopped to ask Mrs. Laurie a question and then upon getting off I heard her say, “sir your not going to make it to JFK” there is not enough time. He did not realize that United had booked him on a flight that he would not have time to make. She was explaining to him the why’s. The passenger thanked her and went back up to see if he could get on a later flight. I asked what was the time and there was no way he would of gotten there, checked in with a bag and mad Ethan flight. That is going above and beyond for the passenger. She is always smiling through her mask and helpful each day. Give her a raise or a complementary gift card from Starbucks! She is Awesome!!!

My name is Lloydel Joseph I am from Trinidad and Tobago, I had the experience of meeting miss Darlene Hunter from company ERMC at La Guardia air port. My flight from Guyana to Miami was delayed which made me miss my connecting flight Miami to Newark in rebooking my ticket the flight attendant book my ticket to New York instead of Newark i guess it was my accent and my mistake and due to my first time in America the ticket said LGA so i never question my destination. with realizing i ended up at the wrong destination there was the angel Miss Darlene which help me contact my employer as well of directions to make it to Newark. she gave me her Metro card and explained my way to me verbally as well written directions also her number for safety and to inform her of my safe arrival to Newark. i would like to thank Miss Darlene Hunter for her assistance. people told me back home nobody helps you in America in my experience that’s So not the case. the world needs more of Miss Darlene Hunter.. I arrived at LGA today September 29th, very lost and confused. Enter Ms. Darlene
She assisted me in purchasing a train pass and actually showed me which bus to take #47 I believe also told me her co worker was taking the bus also and would tell me which train station to get to Brooklyn!
    Thanks Ms. Darlene.

We arrived at LGA on a very cold day in mid-December. Your employee Nabeel Khan took time to show us how to proceed to picking up transportation to Manhattan. Nabeel was so kind and professional…made such a nice impression.

Just a note to say what an incredible staff member you have at JFK named Dora. She was working in the taxi area, with a genuine smile, and was so incredibly helpful to several us who were trying to navigate getting into the city. I hadn’t been to NY in over ten years and was coming in for an insane two days, one night trip. I was expecting to pay far too much for a ride in; but with her assistance I got hooked up with an Uber transit ride for so much less than expected. Her demeanor was top notch and thanks to her help, she set the tone for a great visit. Thanks Dora!
