Sergio Boscarol Appointed as Air Italy Chief Human Resources and Organization Officer

Sergio Boscarol, Chief Human Resources and Organization Officer, Air Italy

Air Italy has announced that Sergio Boscarol has been appointed as Chief Human Resources and Organization Officer for Air Italy with immediate effect.

Mr Boscarol brings with him more than 20 years’ experience as a human resources and organisation professional from multiple industry segments, including most recently as Head of Corporate and Commercial HR at Alitalia.

In his new role, Mr Boscarol will have responsibility for Air Italy’s company organization, including refining the structure, procedures and training of staff to match the ongoing development of the new business plan, as well responsibility for the implementation of a new leadership and performance management model to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the company structure.

Air Italy Chief Operating Officer Rossen Dimitrov said: “Sergio joins us at a key time in the evolution of Air Italy. Following the development of the foundations of the new business, our HR and organization function will now be consolidated and scaled under his leadership to match our growth and business expectations.

“Sergio’s broad cross-sector experience as well as his time spent in the airline and travel segments have provided him with the necessary valuable experience that we will now draw upon as he and his team help support our business growth.

“I look forward to working with Sergio, and I warmly welcome him to the new Air Italy team.”

Mr Boscarol joins Air Italy from Alitalia where he most recently headed Development, Compensation and International HR, and previously Corporate and Commercial HR. Mr Boscarol has also spent time with Ferrero, BAT, Expedia and Avis Budget Group in a series of progressive leadership roles during his HR career.
